Booking

How they book.

Landscaping is two businesses on one site: a project someone compares for weeks, and a route someone wants reliable every week.

  1. 01

    The project

A new yard, planting, a patio, lighting. They browse before-and-after photos first, then book a design visit.

  2. 02

    The route

Mowing and upkeep. They want to know you cover their street and when you can start.

  3. 03

    The season

Spring and fall cleanups, and snow where it falls. Say what you offer and when.

On the site

Must haves.

Six things a landscaping website has to get right.

  • Two paths

A design project or regular upkeep, chosen on the first screen.

  • Coverage check

The towns or ZIP codes your routes cover, in plain text.

  • Project gallery

Before and after, sorted by kind of project.

  • Seasonal work

Cleanups and seasonal services, with when to book them. Fall is also a planting window, not just a cleanup one: cooler air and soil still warm from summer push root growth before the ground goes cold.

  • City rules

    License number

Your license number in the footer of every page, where people check it. New York City and California require the number in their ads.

  • Quote form

Property size, what they want, and a few photos. Say plainly whether that first answer is an estimate or a quote: a quote is a fixed price once they accept it, an estimate can still move.

Seasons

When it moves.

Landscaping demand does not run flat through the year. The site should say what the spring rush needs and what the rest of the year needs, not run one page for both.

Spring push

Fall planting

JFMAMJJASOND
  • Spring push

    March to May

Spring is the busiest stretch in landscaping: most of the year’s design visits get booked and mowing routes start back up in the same few weeks. Keep the gallery and the quote form fast then, not in July.

  • Fall planting

    September to November

Cooler air and soil still warm from summer push root growth before the ground goes cold, so trees and shrubs planted in fall get a head start on next summer. Say so if you plant then.

  • Year round

Mowing, edging and seasonal cleanups keep the route going through summer and into winter where snow falls. Say plainly what the route covers and whether it pauses, so nobody is guessing.

Proof to show

What to show.

What a landscaping site should publish, so people can check it before they call.

  • License and insurance

Your license number and proof of insurance, visible, not just promised on a call. It is the first thing a careful homeowner checks before anyone sets foot in the yard.

  • Crew credentials

A Landscape Industry Certified technician or an EPA WaterSense irrigation professional is a voluntary credential, not a requirement. If your crew holds one, say so: it is proof someone outside your own company checked the work.

  • Finished yards, named

Real projects with the town named, sorted by design or upkeep. It shows the work is recent and nearby, not a stock photo of someone else’s yard.

Does my license number have to be on my website?+

In some places it does. For landscaping work, New York City and California put the license number in every ad, and the safe reading is that your website is one. Each rule is linked to its source, on this page or its city page. Checked 2026-10-05. Not legal advice.

Should design and upkeep share one site?+

One site, two paths. A maintenance route is built around ongoing care and a design build job is built around one project, so make it obvious on the first screen which one someone came for.

What does a website cost?+

A website project starts at $5,000, one time. The monthly plan is $2,500 a month with the build included, plus GEO, upkeep and email marketing, with a 3-month minimum. Either way, you see a free demo of your new site in 48 hours first, and pay nothing until it is delivered.

What a $10,000 website should include

Will a new site get me more calls?+

It is built to help. Clear pages for the jobs you want, your license and the towns you cover can help more of the people who find you pick up the phone. Nobody can promise a number of calls, and we will not.
